36

This week I turned 36.  Crazy, huh?!?!

Yesterday, I bumped into a friend’s daughter out celebrating her 10th birthday.  I met her mother while  in the nursing mothers’ room at church.  And now she’s 10.  Crazy, huh?!?!

I have finally come to peace with the conclusion that I probably need to cover my gray hair regularly.  I tried to convince my grandmother and mother to go natural, but they refused, so I feel I have no choice.

Speaking of my hair, I cut my own bangs this week.  As I told my FB friends, it wasn’t premeditated, the cost wasn’t counted, there was no plan.  In fact, I was still holding my flat iron in one hand, when I grabbed the scissors with the other. “SNIP”   If you see bobby pins with some bling, let me know.  I will be wearing bobby pins for a while and need some variety.

I love to show off my kids, but I don’t show their faces or write their names here on my blog.  I CHOOSE to blog but don’t feel right making private facts about their lives public.  Sure, those of you who know me, know who I am talking about.  But they have long lives ahead of them, and I don’t want a future friend or enemy finding pictures of them on the WWW, if I can help it.  With that said, below is a picture of my 3 hearts.  I love this picture, b/c it really shows the personality- talents and passions- of each of my kids.  My Cub Scout, my Minnie Princess, and my Athlete.

The above picture was taken during the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby.  So proud of my boy, he’ll be racing his car at the regional competition.  N played his last basketball game today, and his team won 29-9.   This was the one and only game they won, although they had an awesome coach and great team.   I know it’s not all about winning, but today’s victory was sweet.  We will miss basketball, now that  it’s over.

My daughter begins ballet in a couple of weeks.  It’s a ‘Mommy and Me’ class.  Dress code is pink ballet shoes, pink tights, and pink leotard.  For her, not me.  LOL  She’ll look so cute with all her hair pulled back in a ponytail.  She watches the boys do their things all the time…. I am excited to take her to something just for her.   She’s been getting dressed in her clothes and twirling around the house.  She’s a natural.  (:

I’m excited to be another year older!   Each year seems sweeter than the year before, and God’s mercy on my life becomes more evident.  God is good!
